Frequently asked questions

What is Kellogg Giving Day?

Kellogg Giving Day is a 36-hour annual fundraising event where the Kellogg community comes together to celebrate their enduring bond with the college and make a lasting impact on the lives of current students.

What makes Kellogg Giving Day different from any other day?

On Giving Day, your donation goes further thanks to our match funders. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant impact. Gifts over £150 or $200 are recognised on the Giving Day Roll of Honour, and all contributions (unless anonymous) appear on the Donor Wall.

Where do the funds go?

Your gift goes directly to us -- and you can find out more on our homepage. Your donation supports various aspects of Kellogg College life, including Student Support, Community Wellbeing, and College Development.

How can I participate?

Donate! Help build momentum by donating early or giving at any point over the 36 hours during Kellogg Giving Day. Share your support on social media using #KelloggGivingDay. You can also become a match funder to increase your impact.

What is match funding?

Match funders pledge to inspire others by doubling donations or setting up challenge funds. Consider becoming a match funder to encourage community involvement. Match funders are acknowledged on the Roll of Honour and invited to Supporters' Day in 2025. Please reach out to development@kellogg.ox.ac.uk

How can I give tax-efficiently from the USA?

USA donors can contribute tax-effectively through Americans for Oxford (AFO) by clicking Donate in USD. You will receive a tax receipt from AFO which is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organisation.

Gifts from our USA donors are received by Americans for Oxford. Americans for Oxford, Inc. (AFO) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service) which seeks gifts to benefit the University and its colleges. In compliance with IRS regulations, the Board of Directors of AFO maintains complete discretion over the allocation of the gifts it receives. Gifts to AFO qualify for an income tax deduction to the full extent allowed by law.

PLEASE ONLY USE THIS FUNCTION IF YOU ARE A US RESIDENT.
