Frequently asked questions

When is Giving Day?

Kellogg Giving Day runs from 8am on Wednesday 11 June to 8pm on Thursday 12 June 2025 (BST) as part of our annual Kellogg Community Week.

What is Kellogg Giving Day?

Kellogg Giving Day is a 36-hour annual fundraising event where the Kellogg community unites to celebrate our College and make a lasting impact on the lives of current and future students.

Make your gift now

What makes Kellogg Giving Day special?

On Giving Day, your donation goes further thanks to our generous match funders. Every contribution, no matter the size, has a significant impact.

Gifts over £150/$200 are recognised on the Giving Day Roll of Honour, displayed in the College entrance for a year. Unless given anonymously, all donations will appear on the website's Donor Wall.

What does my donation support?

Your donation directly supports Kellogg's areas of greatest priority: Where the Need is Greatest and College Development. Gifts made to Where the Need is Greatest support current students with bursaries and research grants. Gifts made to College Development help us enhance our facilities, such as offering a greater number of rooms on-site to future Kellogg students.

“The bursary has been invaluable in allowing me to fully immerse myself in my studies and research at Oxford, without the financial burden weighing heavily on my mind.” — Student bursary recipient

In 2024, Kellogg awarded bursaries to 89% of applicants, with an average disbursement of £684 per student, nearly £200 more than the previous year.

Wherever you choose to give, your participation is what matters most.

Did you know?

  • A donation of £50/month funds a student bursary for the year.

  • A donation of £10,000 will fund a new student room at College.

How can I participate?

  • Donate early or at any time during the 36-hour event.
  • Spread the word by sharing our posts on social media using #KelloggGivingDay.
  • Become a match funder to amplify your impact.

Are there matching gift challenges?

Yes!

  • Money donated will be matched pound for pound by generous match funders -- doubling the impact of your gift

  • Early donors can unlock additional challenge gifts – such as £1,000 when 25 donors give early

  • Gifts of £150 / $200 or more will be recognised on the Giving Day Roll of Honour

What is match funding?

Match funders pledge to inspire others by doubling donations or creating challenge funds.

Match funders are:

  • Acknowledged on the Giving Day Roll of Honour, displayed in the College entrance for a year.
  • Invited to Supporters' Day in 2026.

If interested, please contact us at givingday@kellogg.ox.ac.uk.

Match funding has been a powerful motivator in past Giving Days, encouraging more people to donate and often leading to higher contributions. Last year, it played a key role in surpassing our target to reach £100,000.
